Christina Athanasiades Design was founded in 2018 by Christina Athanasiades.
Christina's approach to the world of interiors is shaped by her extensive academic studies in Architecture in the United States and abroad and nearly a decade working in interior design at Contemporaria showroom in Washington, D.C., representing high-end, contemporary European manufacturers including Minotti, Molteni&C, Rimadesio, Cappellini, Cesar, MDF Italia, Paola Lenti, Vitra and Zanotta. This is where her aesthetic really took its form.
Today, Christina’s world of interior design is deeply influenced by travel and her ongoing exploration of contemporary art and design. Her formal studies in architecture extended to Barcelona, Helsinki and Paris where she often returns for inspiration. She has gone on to visit and explore many other countries and continents and is very happy to bring her experiences and new discoveries back to Washington D.C. and all her projects.
Education
Christina received her Bachelors of Science in Architecture and Masters of Architecture in 2007 and 2009, respectively, through the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., extending her studies into Barcelona, Helsinki, and Paris. Following her post graduate studies, she discovered the world of interiors where she has been living and working happily ever since.
